1. About these Terms
These Terms govern your use of Marvize Statistics. The service is supplied by Rui Liang carrying on business as MARVIZE, a sole proprietorship registered in British Columbia, Canada (Registration No. FM1057445).
By creating an account, purchasing a subscription, or using Marvize, you agree to these Terms. If mandatory consumer law gives you rights that cannot be waived by contract, those rights continue to apply.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must have legal capacity to enter into these Terms. If you are under the age of majority where you live, a parent or legal guardian should review and agree to these Terms before you use a paid service.
You are responsible for providing accurate account information, keeping your login credentials secure, and notifying us if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.
3. Educational service and AI limitations
Marvize is an educational support service. It provides structured statistics learning, practice, AI tutoring, calculations, explanations, and visualizations. It does not guarantee grades, academic results, admission outcomes, employment outcomes, or mastery of any subject.
AI-generated explanations can be incomplete or incorrect. Deterministic checks reduce some calculation risk but do not make every response error-free. You should verify important academic, professional, financial, legal, medical, or other high-impact decisions with an appropriate qualified source.
4. Free and paid access
Marvize may offer free features and paid Marvize Plus features. The features, price, currency, billing frequency, taxes, renewal terms, and any promotion applicable to a paid subscription will be disclosed as part of the purchase flow.
Paid subscriptions renew automatically only as described at purchase and as permitted by applicable law. You may manage or cancel an active subscription through the billing controls provided in your Marvize account or by contacting support where necessary.
5. Billing and refunds
Payments are processed by Stripe. By starting a paid subscription, you authorize the applicable recurring charges disclosed during checkout until the subscription is cancelled or otherwise ends.
Cancellation and refund rules are described in our Refund & Billing Policy. Nothing in these Terms limits a cancellation, refund, charge-reversal, or other consumer right that cannot legally be waived.
6. Changes to subscriptions or paid features
We may improve or change Marvize over time. If we make a change to a subscription term that increases your obligations or materially reduces ours, we will give notice and cancellation rights when required by applicable law. We will not rely on these Terms to make a change to cancellation, return, exchange, or refund terms in a manner prohibited by law.
Price changes normally apply prospectively and will not change a completed paid billing period unless you expressly agree or the law permits the change.
7. Your content
You retain your rights in original content that you submit to Marvize. You give MARVIZE the limited permission needed to host, transmit, process, display, and otherwise handle that content to operate the service, provide requested AI Tutor functionality, maintain account synchronization, and support or secure the platform.
You must have the right to submit any content or file you upload. Do not upload content that is unlawful, infringes another person's rights, contains malware, or is intended to compromise the service.
8. Acceptable use
You may not use Marvize to:
- break applicable law or violate another person's rights;
- attempt unauthorized access to accounts, systems, APIs, or data;
- bypass plan, usage, security, or technical restrictions;
- introduce malicious code or intentionally disrupt the service;
- automatically scrape or extract substantial parts of the service without permission; or
- misrepresent Marvize output as guaranteed professional or official advice.
9. Marvize intellectual property
Marvize's software, interface, branding, original course structure and content, visual design, and other materials supplied by MARVIZE are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms give you a personal right to use the service; they do not transfer ownership of MARVIZE intellectual property to you.
10. Availability and changes to the service
We work to keep Marvize reliable, but uninterrupted or error-free availability is not guaranteed. Maintenance, provider outages, security issues, or other events may temporarily affect access. We may discontinue features or the service, subject to applicable contractual and consumer-law obligations for paid users.
11. Suspension or termination
We may restrict or suspend access when reasonably necessary to address fraud, security threats, unlawful use, material violations of these Terms, or non-payment. Where appropriate, we will try to provide notice or an opportunity to resolve the issue. Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.
12. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Marvize is provided on an "as available" basis without warranties that are not expressly stated in these Terms. We do not disclaim or limit warranties, guarantees, conditions, remedies, or other rights that applicable law says cannot be excluded.
13. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, MARVIZE will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or purely economic losses arising from your use of the service where those losses were not reasonably foreseeable or are legally excludable.
Where liability may lawfully be limited, MARVIZE's aggregate liability arising from the service will not exceed the greater of CAD $100 or the amount you paid to MARVIZE for the service during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. This section does not limit liability that cannot legally be limited.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the applicable federal laws of Canada, without limiting any mandatory consumer protection or other rights that apply to you in your jurisdiction.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as Marvize evolves. Changes will be posted here with a new "Last updated" date. If a change to an active subscription requires advance notice, consent, or a cancellation right under applicable law, we will follow those requirements before the change takes effect.
